Location and Camping info

SpiritFire Festival is returning to its 20+ year home at a beautiful mountaintop retreat in New Lebanon, NY. Conveniently located near Hwy 87 and the Mass Turnpike (I90), the closest large airport is in Albany (ALB), about a 45 minute drive. Other major airports nearby include: BDL (Hartford) at 1.5 hours away and Boston (BOS) about 2+ hours drivedepending on traffic.

Exact location and directions are included within the registration information packet you will receive after registering.

We are not able to provide airport/train/bus station pickup service, but you are encouraged to use our Facebook group to request/arrange rides.  So far we’ve had very good participation with ride sharing. We are working to gather airport, bus and train station shuttle information for those flying in and will have that information available in the early spring of 2024.

Our retreat facility offers wonderfully comfortable tent camping, flush toilets and a shower house in the central area, and conveniently located and (and clean!) latrines in the outer camping zones. You can choose from the closer “community” tenting area, or get a bit of quiet and personal space just seconds further out in our quiet camping zones. While the camp undergoes upgrading of facilities, we may have fewer rustic cabin spaces available – more information on that in the spring of 2024. There is plenty of space for all!

Our dining area is a lovely covered outdoor space, so rain or shine you’ll have ample places to sit and enjoy your meals, or you can grab a patch of grass on the slope.

There are beautiful features on this land for you to explore, many of them sacred sites from long ago. The main ritual space is one that we’ve danced and drummed on for 2 decades, and set beautifully enclosed by tall trees that still allow for breathtaking open sky. We hope you’ll come and explore them, and find a home with us on the mountain.
